A strong presence in the world's main markets.

Mineração Catalão de Goiás initiated activities in 1976 with the production of pyrochlore concentrate. In the following year, in an effort to achieve a higher value added product and growth, the company inaugurated its metallurgical plant and started to produce and export ferroniobium. The present production level is around 5,000 tonnes of ferroniobium per annum which is all sold overseas to more than 40 specialty steel industries in Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, Africa and Middle East.
